Legal basis and relationship to prior rules

Amendments to Item 4.4 examination requirement
- Item No. 4.4 of Memorandum Circular No. 8-7-98 is amended to require a practical examination.
- The practical examination covers plotting the azimuth, elevation and operational/regional satellite.
- The practical examination also covers knowledge to transmit the alphabet by Morse code.
- Morse code transmission may be through keyer, voice, light, or any other means of transmitting or communicating the code signals.
Effect of amendments
- NTC Memorandum Circular No. 17-10-98 implements its changes by amending Memorandum Circular No. 8-7-98 only in the specified items.
- All other provisions of Memorandum Circular No. 8-7-98 remain effective alongside the amendments introduced by NTC Memorandum Circular No. 17-10-98.
