Amendments to Board Resolution No. 06
- Section 1 deletes the Rule 4.5 requirement in Board Resolution No. 06, s. 1991 on posting of a bond.
- Section 2 deletes the Rule 5.1 requirement of reciprocity between the applicant’s country and the Philippines.
- Section 3 amends Rule 5.6 by requiring a specific application submission timeline.
Submission deadline and application filing
- Rule 5.6 (as amended) requires the applicant to submit an application to the Board through the Commission.
- The amended Rule 5.6 requires submission of the application together with all documents in support thereof.
- The amended Rule 5.6 sets a deadline: submission must be made on a date not later than sixty (60) days before the start of the medical mission.
Endorsement requirement before permit issuance
- Section 4 adds a new Rule 6 provision: No permit shall be issued unless the local medical society and/or specialty society involved gives a favorable indorsement to the Board.
Effectivity, publication, and implementation
- Section 5 provides that the resolution takes effect after fifteen (15) days following its publication in the Official Gazette or any newspaper of general circulation, upon approval by the Commission.
- Section 6 requires furnishing a copy of the resolution to the Department of Health (DOH), the Philippine Medical Association (PMA), the Philippine Hospital Association (PHA), and the Department of Foreign Affairs, including other affected governmental associations.

- The resolution was approved by Commissioner Hermogenes P. Pobre and Associate Commissioners Mariano A. Mendiieta and Armando C. Pascual.
