Continuity of service for separated employees
- Section 9-A covers officers and employees in the Province of Samar.
- Covered employees include those occupying positions in the classified or unclassified service.
- Section 9-A applies when employees are separated from the service due to its division into three provinces.
- Employees who are re-appointed after the division takes effect are deemed to have rendered continuous service.
- The re-appointed employees retain the status of their previous and/or later appointments, whichever is more advantageous to them.
