A

Applicability

  • This Circular applies to all grantees of Certificates of Public Convenience (CPCs) who intend to change the engine of their vehicles.

Requirements for Petition for Engine Change

  • Grantees must file an Application and/or Request for Change of Engine.
  • The application must be accompanied by the following documents:
    • Certificate of Registration of the new engine.
    • Official Receipt covering the new engine issued by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) concerned.

Approval Process

  • For Regional Offices, approval of the application is signed by the Regional Director.
  • For the Central Office, approval must be signed by at least one Board Member of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

Consequence of Non-Compliance

  • Failure to file the Application and/or Request for Change Engine results in non-confirmation of the affected vehicle units.

Supersession and Effectivity

  • This Memorandum Circular supersedes any previous issuances inconsistent with its provisions.
  • It becomes effective fifteen (15) days after its publication either in a newspaper of general circulation or in the Official Gazette.
