Responsibilities of the Medical Service
- The Medical Service is responsible for all matters relating to the physical examination, health, and sanitation of both personnel and animals in the army.
- This responsibility ensures the comprehensive medical and sanitary welfare of the AFP, encompassing human and animal health concerns.
Equality in Pay, Allowances, and Privileges
- Members of the Nurse Corps are entitled to the same pay, allowances, rights, and privileges as those granted to members of the other established corps (Medical, Dental, Veterinary, and Medical Administrative Corps) within the Medical Service.
- This provision guarantees parity and non-discrimination among the corps members regarding benefits and compensations.
Repeal of Previous Executive Order
- Executive Order Numbered 267, series of 1940, which presumably contained prior regulations or provisions about medical service corps, is hereby repealed.
- The repeal signifies that the provisions of this Act supersede and replace any conflicting previous rules.
Effectivity
- The Act takes effect immediately upon its approval by the proper legislative authorities.
- This ensures prompt implementation of the changes prescribed, especially the creation and integration of the Nurse Corps within the AFP Medical Service.
