Powers and Procedures of the Court of Appeals
- The Court of Appeals has the authority to conduct trials and hearings, receive evidence, and perform necessary acts to resolve factual issues in cases within its jurisdiction.
- It may grant and conduct new trials or further proceedings as needed.
- Trials or hearings before the Court must be continuous and concluded within three (3) months unless an extension is authorized by the Chief Justice.
Repeal and Amendment of Inconsistent Provisions
- All laws and rules that conflict with the provisions of this Act are repealed or amended to conform with this expansion of the Court of Appeals’ jurisdiction.
Effectivity
- The Act becomes effective fifteen (15) days after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation, ensuring public awareness before implementation.
