Assignment of Branch Numbers

  • The Supreme Court is tasked with assigning branch numbers to each of the newly created RTC branches.

  • The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court shall coordinate with the Secretary of the Department of Justice for the immediate implementation of the Act.
  • Funding for the operation of these new courts must be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Amendments to Existing Laws

  • Section 14(e) of Batas Pambansa Blg. 129 (The Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980), as amended, is repealed, modified, or further amended as necessary to accommodate this Act.
  • Any other inconsistent provisions related to the judiciary reorganization are similarly altered to conform with the creation of these new courts.

Effectivity of the Act

  • The Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in either the Official Gazette or in two newspapers of general circulation.
