- The governance of the Kabataang Barangay is managed by a barangay youth chairman and six barangay youth leaders.

Composition and Registration of Barangay Youth Assembly
- The assembly includes residents of the barangay who are at least fifteen years but no more than twenty-one years old.
- Members must be registered in the barangay list as per Section Four of Presidential Decree No. 210 dated June 8, 1973.
Effectivity
- This amendment to Presidential Decree No. 684 becomes effective immediately upon issuance.
This decree broadens the age limits for membership and officer eligibility compared to the original provisions, thereby encouraging wider youth participation in local governance structures under the Kabataang Barangay system.
