Coordination and Reassignment of Agrarian Reform Functions
- The Agrarian Reform Unit in the DA advises and assists the Office of the Secretary in coordinating extension services and soil surveys with the Department of Agrarian Reform.
- The Bureau of Farm Management of the Department of Agrarian Reform is abolished.
- Its personnel, appropriations, records, equipment, and property related to agricultural extension activities are transferred to the DA.
- The DA must allocate these resources to priority areas as set by the Department of Agrarian Reform.
Establishment of Department-Wide Regional Offices
- The DA shall organize regional offices on a Department-wide basis to decentralize functions and enhance effectiveness.
- Regional offices of the Bureau of Forest Development, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, and Bureau of Lands shall be established following the Integrated Reorganization Plan and related implementation guidelines.
- The Bureau of Mines will establish its regional offices based on its requirements, subject to presidential approval upon recommendation from the Secretary of Natural Resources.
Inter-Departmental Membership and Coordination
- The Secretary of Natural Resources shall serve as an ex-officio member of the National Food and Agriculture Council.
- The Secretary of Agriculture shall serve as an ex-officio member of the Natural Resources Development and Management Council and the Fisheries Industry Development Council.
Effectivity and Legal Repeals
- All laws, decrees, or orders inconsistent with this decree are repealed or amended accordingly.
- This decree takes effect immediately upon signing.
