Amendments to the Order of Lapu-Lapu Medals
- The Order consists of four distinct medals with a specific order of precedence:
- Magalong Medal: For officials, government personnel, and private individuals who rendered extraordinary service or made exceptional contributions to a presidential campaign or advocacy.
- Kalasag Medal: For those who lost their lives directly due to participation in a campaign or advocacy of the President.
- Kampilan Medal: For those seriously wounded, injured, or who suffered great loss of property directly from such participation.
- Kamagi Medal: For those who actively participated and significantly contributed but do not fall under the other three categories.
- Nominees for any medal must be recommended by the Heads of Agencies involved in the activities.
Continuity of Other Provisions
- All other provisions of Executive Order No. 17 remain unchanged aside from the specific amendments mentioned.
Effectivity
- The Executive Order takes effect immediately upon its publication in a national newspaper of general circulation.
Legal Authority and Execution
- Signed and promulgated by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, exercising constitutional powers.
- The Executive Secretary endorses and carries out the order.
