Compensation of Ex Officio Members in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan

  • Ex officio members representing the Sangguniang Kabataan and Liga ng mga Barangay in the provincial legislative body shall receive full authorized salaries and emoluments from the provincial government.
  • The provincial government is responsible for appropriating the full amount needed, equivalent to that of regular elective members in the same council.

Special Provision for the President of the Provincial Federation

  • The president of the provincial federation of municipal and component city sanggunian members, who also sits as an ex officio member in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, shall receive salary and emoluments from the city or municipality he represents.
  • The provincial government shall only provide additional allowances so that the member's total compensation equals that of an elective counterpart in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

Continuity of Other Provisions and Repeal of Inconsistent Issuances

  • Other provisions of Article 77 not affected by this amendment remain valid and effective.
  • Previous administrative issuances inconsistent with this order are amended, modified, or repealed accordingly.

Effectivity

  • The administrative order takes effect immediately upon issuance on May 22, 1997.
