Petition Requirements and Contents

    • Reason for citizenship loss and specific political/economic necessity if applicable.
    • Reason for reacquiring citizenship.
    • Marital status details including spouse and children information.
    • Occupation of petitioner and spouse.
    • Declarations against opposition to organized government and criminal background.
    • Intention to renounce foreign allegiance.

    • Alien certificates and residence or arrival permits.
    • Marriage, death, divorce, or annulment certificates.

Committee Evaluation and Oath of Allegiance

  • Committee may conduct an interview.
  • If qualified, petition approved.
  • Petitioner must take oath of allegiance within 90 days before the Committee or designated representatives.
  • Oath includes renunciation of foreign allegiance and pledge to uphold Philippine laws.
  • Oath-taking fee: ₱50,000.
