Coverage
- Applies to all Public Health Workers irrespective of appointment nature.
Mechanics of Payment
- For salary grades (SG) 1 to 19: hazard pay equals 25% of actual present salary.
- For SG 20 and above: fixed amount of Php 4,989.75; no increase allowed.
Exemptions
- Hazard pay not granted if absent for more than one full calendar month due to:
- Vacation leave
- Sick leave
- Study leave (with or without pay)
- Maternity/Paternity leave
- Terminal leave
- Full-time attendance in training, scholarships, seminars, or similar activities.
Rules and Regulations
- Part-time workers receive half the hazard pay of full-time employees in identical conditions.
- Workers detailed full-time or part-time to another agency/office receive hazard pay from their mother agency.
- Consultants are excluded from receiving hazard pay.
- Workers entitled to multiple hazard pay types may only receive the one most advantageous to them.
Repealing Clause
- Annuls all prior issuances conflicting with these guidelines.
Effectivity
- The guidelines take effect on July 1, 2006.
