Establishment and Jurisdiction of Family Courts

Section 1 declares May 27 of every year as a special nonworking public holiday.
The holiday applies to the entire Province of Camarines Sur.
The holiday also applies to the cities of Naga and Iriga.
The holiday is observed in commemoration of Camarines Sur’s foundation anniversary as a political unit.
Section 1 specifies that the declaration is made for every year.

Section 1 amends Section 1 of Republic Act No. 9031.
The amended rule in Section 1 fixes the date as May 27 of every year.
The amended territorial coverage in Section 1 includes the Province of Camarines Sur and the cities of Naga and Iriga.
Republic Act No. 9410 retains the same commemoration basis: Camarines Sur’s foundation anniversary as a political unit.
