POEA Advisory on Bahrain Deployment Alert Levels

Bahrain’s risk controls under the DFA alert system operate through four levels: Alert Level 1, Alert Level 2, Alert Level 3, and Alert Level 4.

Under Alert Level 1 (Observation Stage), the DFA issues a travel advisory for Bahrain.
Under Alert Level 1, the POEA allows the deployment of overseas Filipino workers with new job contracts (new hires) and returning workers (vacationing or rehires).
Allowed deployment under Alert Level 1 requires workers to have valid work visas/resident permits.

Under Alert Level 2 (Caution Stage), a travel advisory has already been in place and a partial deployment ban is implemented.
Under Alert Level 2, only returning workers may travel back to Bahrain.
Under Alert Level 2, returning workers must execute an affidavit stating that they are well aware of the security risk and voluntarily proceeds to Bahrain.

Under Alert Level 3 (Warning Stage), a total deployment ban is implemented.
Under Alert Level 4 (Repatriation), a total deployment ban is implemented.
Under Alert Level 3 and Alert Level 4, deployment is prohibited across the covered deployment process categories.
