Enforcement of Program Rating Time Slots
- The MTRCB will strictly enforce the airing of GP rated programs between 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Parental Guidance programs aired outside the prescribed time slots will face regulatory consequences.
Penalties for Improper Scheduling
- From August 15, 1993, PG programs aired during incorrect hours will only receive a one-month permit.
- These permits will be non-renewable unless the program is rescheduled to the correct time slot.
- Beginning November 1993, permits will be denied outright for PG programs aired at wrong hours.
Prohibition of Adult Rated Content on Television
- Programs rated Adult (R-18) are strictly not allowed on television broadcasts under this regulation.
Regulatory Authority and Implementation
- The Memorandum Circular was adopted by the MTRCB on August 2, 1993, under Chairman Atty. Henrietta S. Mendez.
- Television stations are required to comply with these scheduling rules to maintain permits for airing PG and GP programs.
