Purpose and policy intent
- The circular implements the Tabular Technical Description format adopted under LRA Circular No. 20-2011 by adjusting the font type and font size used on Certificates of Title.
- The circular extends the same formatting modification to Certified True Copies of Titles and system-generated additional pages of manually-issued titles.
Covered documents and systems
- The circular requires the font type and font size changes for the first page of a Certificate of Title issued as a result of Original Registration.
- The circular requires the font type and font size changes for all other Certificates of Titles generated by the system.
- The circular applies the same font requirements to Certified True Copies of the above mentioned titles.
- The circular applies the same font requirements to system-generated additional page/s of the manually issued titles.
Required font type and sizes
- The circular requires the use of the font type Courier New for the first page of the Certificate of Title issued as a result of Original Registration.
- The circular requires the font size 8 for the first page of the Certificate of Title issued as a result of Original Registration.
- The circular requires the use of the font type Courier New for all other Certificates of Titles generated by the system.
- The circular requires the font size 10 for all other Certificates of Titles generated by the system, and for Certified True Copies and system-generated additional page/s of manually-issued titles.
Who must comply and implementation
- All Officers and Personnel of the Land Registration Authority and its Registries of Deeds must adopt the required font type and font sizes.
- The Registries of Deeds and Central Office must prepare and make available information materials to inform the transacting public and stakeholders.
- Information materials must be made available to stakeholders, Associations, LGUs and agencies regarding the changes in font type and font size.
Connection to earlier circular
- LRA Circular No. 20-2011 adopts a tabular technical description format for Certificates of Title issued as a result of Original Registration and the registration of Approved Subdivision and/or Consolidation Plans.
- The circular’s font and font-size modifications are issued to support implementation of the Tabular Technical Description format adopted under LRA Circular No. 20-2011.
