Additional Application Requirement
- Before MARINA evaluates or accepts any application for chartering or importing fishing vessels, an additional document is required.
- Applicants must submit a clearance from BFAR.
- The BFAR clearance certifies that the vessel, owner, or charterer qualifies for the issuance of a new Commercial Fishing Boat license (CFBL).
Relationship to Existing Regulations
- MARINA Memorandum Circular No. 34 and 34-A remain effective as long as they are not inconsistent with this Circular.
- This ensures continuity and coherence with existing related regulations.
Effectivity
- The Circular became effective fifteen (15) days after its first publication in a newspaper of general circulation.
Authority
- The Circular was adopted and signed by Paciencia M. Balbon, Jr., Administrator of MARINA on July 20, 1994.
