- Defined as registrable food products packaged in advance.
- Ready for direct sale to the consumer.
- Includes a broad range of food substances, processed or raw.
Mandatory Labelling Requirements
- The labelling rules are governed by Administrative Order No. 88-B, s. 1964.
- This Circular introduces an additional mandatory labelling requirement.
- Food Registration Number (FR#) must be displayed on the principal display panel of the product label.
Purpose of the Food Registration Number Requirement
- Intended to improve monitoring and regulatory control of registered food products.
- Facilitates identification and verification of legally registered foods by regulatory authorities.
Effective Date and Implementation
- The additional labelling requirement takes effect on October 31, 1994.
- All concerned parties, such as manufacturers and distributors, must comply by this date.
