The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) is transferred by Executive Order No. 330.
PAGCOR is transferred from the Office of the President.
PAGCOR is attached to the Department of Finance.
The transfer is authorized under Book III, Title III, Chapter 10, Section 31(3) of the Administrative Code of 1987, which authorizes the President to transfer any agency under the Office of the President to any other department or agency.
The Order states the transfer is necessary to facilitate coordination of policies and programs between PAGCOR and the Department of Finance, given DoF's responsibility for managing financial resources of government.
PAGCOR was established to generate resources which can be used to finance government infrastructure and socio-civic development projects.
The Executive Order took effect immediately upon its signing on July 16, 2004.
All inconsistent orders, issuances, rules, and regulations or parts thereof are repealed or modified accordingly.
It was signed by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and Executive Secretary Alberto G. Romulo.
