Act No. 4113 prescribes certain provisions concerning tenancy contracts on land planted to sugar cane.

The landowner must inform the tenant, based on receipts from the central, of the number of tons of cane harvested, the piculs of sugar produced, the tenant's share of additional sugar, and the molasses entitled to the tenant.

The landowner must exhibit the receipts to the tenant on demand to verify the harvest and product information.

The landowner and tenant must stipulate regarding necessary expenses of milling, cutting, hauling, purchasing ingredients for boiling sugar, and materials for packing if there is no contrary agreement.

No, unless the tenant has given written consent or after thirty days following the end of milling, the landowner may sell the tenant's share to cover debts.

The landowner may keep the product; but after thirty days post-milling, can sell it at current market price to pay tenant's debts, with any balance delivered to the tenant.

The settlement and crop distribution shall be made immediately after each milling season.

Each party must haul their share of the cane to their desired location, unless there is a written agreement stating otherwise.

The tenant can claim payment of his share at the current market price from the landowner's properties or interests.

The landowner must provide written advice of the expenses incurred.

Violations may be punished by a fine of 25 to 200 pesos, imprisonment of 10 to 60 days, or both, at the court's discretion.
