Question & AnswerQ&A (PRC PROFESSIONAL REGULATORY BOARD OF ARCHITECTURE Resolution NO. 13, S. 2009)
The original Architect's Code of Ethics was the 1979 UAP Document 200 Code of Ethical Conduct promulgated by the Board of Architecture and approved by the Commission in September 1979.
The revised Architect's Code of Ethics was adopted under Republic Act No. 9266.
Section 8, Article VII of PRBoA Resolution No. 02, Series of 2006 was amended.
The reversion was made because the general membership of the UAP-IAPOA desired to return to the original code that embodied the full meaning of an architect's responsibility to the Supreme Being and to the country, which the newer revised version did not fully capture.
The proposal was approved on July 30, 2009, during the UAP Executive Committee Meeting.
It was held at the UAP General Headquarters, Sct. Rallos St., Diliman, Quezon City.
The resolution took effect fifteen (15) days following its full and complete publication in the Official Gazette or any daily newspaper of general circulation in the Philippines.
Armando N. Alli was the chairman who signed the resolution.
Publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation is a required procedural step that triggers the effectivity of the resolution after 15 days from the date of publication.
