To reinstate the MTRCB Appeals Committee and define its composition and functions to review MTRCB decisions that disapprove or prohibit the exhibition of a motion picture or television program in its entirety, with recommendations submitted to the President.
It was abolished by Executive Order (EO) No. 357, s. of 2004, on September 14, 2004.
It was constituted pursuant to Section 4 of Presidential Decree (PD) No. 1986 by President Fidel V. Ramos on September 27, 2003.
EO 572 reinstates the MTRCB Appeals Committee in the Office of the President so it can review certain MTRCB decisions and submit recommendations to the President.
In the Office of the President.
Five (5) members appointed/designated by the President: (1) representative of the President (Chairman), (2) representative of the Press Secretary (Vice Chairman), (3) representative of the Presidential Council for Youth Affairs (Member), (4) representative of the Movie Industry (Member), and (5) representative of the Television Industry (Member).
At least three (3) concurring members of the Committee.
They continue to function until they are replaced.
To review the second decision of MTRCB disapproving or prohibiting the exhibition of a motion picture or television program in its entirety.
To the President of the Philippines.
The appeal is coursed through the Committee, which conducts its own review and submits recommendations to the President.
Within thirty (30) days from perfection of the appeal.

A representative of the MTRCB Chairman must be present as an Observer and may be consulted on MTRCB rules, regulations, and the circumstances of the decision under deliberation.
Yes. It may, in addition to Administrative Order No. 18, s. of 1987, and the provisions of EO 572, promulgate its own rules of procedure.
It repeals Section 1(A)(3) of EO No. 357, s. of 2004.
It amends Memorandum Order No. 226 dated September 22, 2006.
Immediately upon its publication in a national newspaper of general circulation.
