RA 11958 rationalizes the disability pension of veterans by amending Section 5 of RA 6948, which standardizes and upgrades benefits for military veterans and their dependents.
Section 5 (Pension Rates) of RA 6948, as amended, is further amended.
Four thousand five hundred pesos (P4,500.00).
Five thousand three hundred pesos (P5,300.00).
Six thousand one hundred pesos (P6,100.00).
Six thousand nine hundred pesos (P6,900.00).
Seven thousand seven hundred pesos (P7,700.00).
Eight thousand five hundred pesos (P8,500.00).
Nine thousand three hundred pesos (P9,300.00).
Ten thousand pesos (P10,000.00), plus one thousand pesos (P1,000.00) for the spouse and each unmarried minor child.
The text specifically provides an additional one thousand pesos (P1,000.00) for the spouse and each unmarried minor child in the 91%–100% bracket (as written in the proviso line following that bracket).
Upon reaching age seventy (70) and not receiving disability pension under the Act, the veteran is deemed disabled and is entitled to a monthly pension of one thousand seven hundred pesos (P1,700.00) only.
The entitlement is prospective and limited to eligible living veterans only.

Any law, presidential decree, issuance, executive order, letter of instruction, administrative order, rule, or regulation contrary to or inconsistent with the Act is repealed, modified, or amended accordingly.
