Republic Act No. 6506 is "An Act Creating the Board of Examiners for Criminologists in the Philippines and for Other Purposes," which requires the examination, certification, and registration of qualified applicants for the practice of the criminology profession.

The Board of Examiners for Criminologists is responsible, under the supervision of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

It became effective fifteen (15) days following its publication in the Official Gazette or any newspaper of general circulation.

The resolution was to be disseminated and circularized to all recognized schools, colleges, and universities offering the criminology course.

Almelor (Secretary, Professional Regulatory Boards), and approved by Hermogenes P. Pobre (Commissioner), Alfonso G. Abad and Rosalinda Datu-Evangelista (Associate Commissioners).
