To set guidelines on how Postal Money Order (PMO) payments used as deposits for MVUC (Motor Vehicle User’s Charge) should be handled in the Revenue Collection System (RCS) automated environment so that payments can be processed correctly.
Because of issues such as: (1) failure to attach xerox copies of the latest OR and CR; (2) issuance of only one Official Receipt covering multiple motor vehicles under a single PMO check; and (3) mismatch between the PMO remitter’s name and the registered owner’s name shown in the OR and CR.
All PMO payments must be accompanied by xerox copies of the latest Official Receipt (OR) and Certificate of Registration (CR) of the motor vehicle being paid for.
The name of the remitter appearing in the PMO should be indicated in the OR acknowledging the PMO.
The PMO shall not be applied, and the corresponding MVUC with 50% penalty shall be collected, based on supporting documents submitted.
