EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 476

: The purpose is to attach the Commission on Population to the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) to facilitate coordination of policies and programs relative to population.
: Prior to this Executive Order, the Commission on Population was placed under the control and supervision of the Office of the President under Executive Order No. 408 dated June 18, 1990.
: The authority comes from Book III, Title III, Chapter 10, Section 31(3) of the Administrative Code of 1987.
: President Corazon C. Aquino signed the Executive Order, and it was countersigned by Executive Secretary Franklin M. Drilon.
: It took effect immediately on August 14, 1991.
