The barrios of Mabatobato, Ayugan, Hanawan, and Moriones were organized into the municipality of Ocampo.
They were part of the municipality of Pili, Province of Camarines Sur.
Section 68 of the Revised Administrative Code was cited as the legal basis for the creation.
The seat of government is at the barrio of Mabatobato.
The boundaries are the same as those of the former municipality of Mabatobato before it was annexed to Pili.
Pili retains its present territory minus the portion included in the municipality of Ocampo.
It begins to exist upon the appointment and qualification of the mayor, vice-mayor, and a majority of the municipal councilors thereof.
President Elpidio Quirino signed the Executive Order.
The recommendation came from the Secretary of the Interior.
