QuestionsQuestions (EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 702)
The power is granted under Section 402 of Presidential Decree No. 1464, otherwise known as the Tariff and Customs Code of 1978, as amended.
Section 1 specifies that the articles listed in Annex aAa, classified under Section 104 of Presidential Decree No. 1464, shall be accorded additional margins of tariff preference as specified in the annex.
Tariff preferences are indicated in the schedule in Columns 9-13 of Annex aAa and the additional margins of tariff preference are specified in Column 8.
Any subsequent changes in the basic rate of duty will automatically accord the articles the corresponding margins of preference indicated in column 8 of Annex aAa.
The rates take effect as of April 1, 1981.
It refers to the Agreement on ASEAN Preferential Trading Arrangements ratified on August 1, 1977.
The additional margins of tariff preference signify deeper tariff cuts to promote trade among ASEAN member countries by making certain imported goods more competitively priced through reduced import duties.
They are classified under Section 104 of Presidential Decree No. 1464 (Tariff and Customs Code of 1978).
