DOTC Department Order No. 2014-014

: It was adopted on December 18, 2014, and took effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation, with the date filed being January 7, 2015.
: The fare formula adopted is PhP11.00 base fare plus PhP1.00 per kilometer traveled.
: It follows the 'user-pays' principle as directed by the Medium-Term Philippine Development Plan (2011-2016).
: The Light Rail Transit Authority Board Resolution with concurrence from the Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board, and the recommendation from the MRT-3 Office.
: They are deemed superseded and/or revoked accordingly by this Department Order.
: The annexes (A to E) contain the revised fare matrices for LRT-1 Stored Value, LRT-1 Single Journey, LRT-2 Stored Value, LRT-2 Single Journey, and MRT-3 respectively.
: It aims to reduce subsidies currently dedicated to these operations to allow reallocation to development projects and relief operations in other parts of the country.
: It directs the application of the 'user-pays' principle in transportation service pricing, which forms the basis for the fare adjustment under the Order.
