The main purpose of Republic Act No. 11880 is to increase the authorized bed capacity of the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital in Tayug, Pangasinan from 150 to 250 beds and to appropriate the necessary funds therefor.
After the enactment of RA 11880, the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital is authorized to have 250 beds.
The Chief of Hospital of the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital is responsible for preparing the hospital development plan.
The hospital development plan must be submitted to the Department of Health (DOH).
The existing professional health care services and facilities must be upgraded to conform with and be commensurate to the increased bed capacity.
The existing workforce of the hospital shall be increased correspondingly to the increased bed capacity.
The Provincial Government of Pangasinan is responsible for providing the necessary funds for maintenance and other operating expenses of the hospital.
The Provincial Government must also appropriate funds for additional human resources to support the increased bed capacity and upgraded facilities and services.
The Secretary of the DOH must immediately include the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital in the DOH's subsidy program to support its capital outlay requirements.
If any provision or part of RA 11880 is declared unconstitutional, the remaining parts or provisions not affected shall remain in full force and effect.
RA 11880 took effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
All laws, executive orders, issuances, rules, and regulations inconsistent with RA 11880 are modified accordingly.
