An additional deduction from gross income equivalent to 15% of the total amount paid as salaries and wages to senior citizens, subject to NIRC Section 34 as amended by RA 10963, provided employment continues at least six (6) months and the senior citizen’s annual income does not exceed the latest poverty threshold as published by PSA.
The BIR must promulgate a new revenue memorandum circular and related rules/regulations consistent with RA 11916’s amendments to RA 9994.
