The legal basis is Presidential Decree No. 871, which empowers the Games and Amusements Board to promulgate rules and regulations governing the conduct of professional basketball games and other professional games.
Executive Order No. 159, series of 1994, directs all government agencies to revise their fees and charges to recover at least the full cost of services rendered and make fees more realistic.
President Joseph Ejercito Estrada approved and directed the immediate implementation of the revised fees.
Resolution No. 98-03, dated August 25, 1998, contains the detailed revisions of fees charged by the Games and Amusements Board.
