: The Career Executive Service was established under Presidential Decree No. 1.
: The President of the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) is responsible for drawing up and implementing the national security training program.
: All officials of the government occupying positions in the Career Executive Service who have qualified as Career Executive Service Officers, except those holding a masteral degree in National Security Administration from NDCP, are subject to the training program.
: The National Security Course should cover topics related not only to internal national security requirements but also to matters affecting foreign policy and international linkages.
: Most Career Executive Service officers have undergone training at the Development Academy of the Philippines.
: The Career Executive Service Board is tasked with making available necessary information concerning the Career Executive Service to ensure the successful implementation of the national security training program.
: All heads of departments and agencies are directed to give full support and encouragement to the national security training program.
: A report on the results of the first National Security course must be submitted to the President upon its completion.
