Ferdinand E. Marcos grants a year-end bonus equivalent to one week's pay to all national government officials and employees in recognition of their dedicated service and to help offset Christmas expenses, effective immediately.

Questions (EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 752)

EO 752 grants a year-end bonus to national government officials and employees to recognize dedicated service and to account for unusually high expenses during the Christmas season.

All officials and employees of the National Government are entitled to the year-end bonus equivalent to one week’s basic pay.

One week’s basic pay.

Employees and officials who are already receiving a year-end bonus or incentive pay or equivalent beyond their basic and duly authorized monthly allowance shall no longer be entitled to the year-end bonus under EO 752.

EO 752 specifically bars those receiving year-end bonus/incentive pay or equivalent beyond basic and duly authorized monthly allowance. If the additional pay is only within basic and duly authorized monthly allowance, the EO’s exclusion would generally not apply.

The funds needed shall be drawn from salary savings.

Any remaining deficiency shall be charged against the Salary Adjustment Fund in the CY 1981 Appropriations Act.

Any further deficiency shall be charged against budgetary reserves.

Effective immediately.

The President acted by virtue of the powers vested in him by the Constitutions.
