The main objective is to provide for the construction of a fish port in Barangay Sabang, Municipality of Calabanga, Province of Camarines Sur.
The Department of Agriculture (DA) supervises the construction through the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA).
The Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA), in coordination with the local government unit concerned, shall formulate the necessary rules and regulations.
The fish port shall be constructed in Barangay Sabang, Municipality of Calabanga, Province of Camarines Sur.
The funding necessary for the construction shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act, and the local government shall also set aside funds from available local revenues for its operationalization.
The local government shall allocate funds from any available local revenues in an amount deemed appropriate for operationalizing the fish port.
The Act took effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in two newspapers of general circulation.
The Act was approved by the President of the Philippines, Benigno S. Aquino III.
The House of Representatives and the Senate passed the Act on May 23, 2011 and June 6, 2013, respectively.
The PFDA is responsible for supervising the construction of the fish port and formulating necessary rules and regulations for the effective implementation of the Act.
