LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 715

: The main objective of the energy development program is to develop self-reliance in energy.
: The Treasurer of the Philippines is directed to release funds for these purposes.
: One hundred ninety-one million, five hundred thousand pesos (P191,500,000) is authorized for release.
: The amount will be released out of the Special Fund created pursuant to Section 8(j) of Republic Act No. 6173 as amended.
: The funds are to be used in connection with PNOC's geothermal and coal exploration and development programs.
: PNOC is directed to submit to the President of the Philippines not later than the end of each year a report accounting for the disbursement and utilization of the funds.
: It is addressed to the Secretary of Energy, the Commissioner of the Budget, the Treasurer of the Philippines, and the Chairman of Philippine National Oil Company.
: The Special Fund was created pursuant to Section 8(j) of Republic Act No. 6173 as amended.
: June 26, 1978, is the date when the Letter of Instructions No. 715 was signed and took effect immediately.
: It was signed by Ferdinand E. Marcos, then President of the Philippines.
