The purpose of Republic Act No. 6859 is to establish a ten-bed municipal hospital in the Municipality of Naujan, Province of Oriental Mindoro, to be known as the Naujan Municipal Hospital.
The Naujan Municipal Hospital will be established under the supervision of the Department of Health.
The hospital shall be constructed in a site determined by the Sangguniang Bayan of the Municipality of Naujan, in consultation with the Office of the Secretary of Health.
The necessary amount for the construction is charged against the appropriations authorized under the Fiscal Year 1989 General Appropriations Act.
The sums necessary for the operation and maintenance of the hospital are to be included in the annual General Appropriations Act after the initial construction funding.
Before construction, the Secretary of Health must issue a written assurance that hospital personnel will be appointed and that funds for maintenance and operation have been appropriated.
The act was enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled.
The Act takes effect upon its approval, which was on March 1, 1990.
The municipal hospital established by RA 6859 will have a ten-bed capacity.
