The main purpose of Act No. 142, June 18, 1901, is to amend Act No. 104 by changing the schedule of meetings of the presidents or alcaldes of the municipalities of the Province of Romblon to semiannual sessions held in April and October.
The presidents or alcaldes of the municipalities of the Province of Romblon are required to meet under this Act.
The meetings are scheduled on the third Monday in April and October each year.
The meetings are held to consider improvements needed in the province and for the provincial government, and to make recommendations to the provincial board.
The provincial secretary calls the convention of the municipal presidents or alcaldes.
The provincial secretary acts as the secretary of the convention and certifies its recommendations to the provincial board.
The convention elects a chairman for each semiannual session.
Section 4 of Act No. 104 has been amended by this Act.
The words "January," "July," and "quarter's" were struck out, and the word "semiannual" was substituted in place of "quarter's."
Act No. 142 took effect upon its passage on June 18, 1901.
