The main purpose of Republic Act No. 4904 is to establish an emergency hospital in the Municipality of Besao, Sub-province of Bontoc, Mountain Province, and provide the necessary funds for its establishment and operation.
The Besao Emergency Hospital shall be established under the Bureau of Medical Services.
The Besao Emergency Hospital is to have a bed capacity of fifteen (15) beds.
The site for the hospital shall be provided by the Municipal Council of Besao in consultation with the Director of Medical Services.
The Secretary of Health is empowered to promulgate the necessary rules and regulations to carry into effect the purpose of the Act.
The sum of two hundred thousand pesos (₱200,000) is appropriated for the establishment and operation of the hospital for that fiscal year.
The funds will be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated.
The sums necessary for its operation and maintenance in subsequent years shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
This Act took effect upon its approval on June 17, 1967.
The Senate and the House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled enacted the law.
