Republic Act No. 9011

: The primary purpose of Republic Act No. 9011 is to create a second engineering district office of the Department of Public Works and Highways in the Lone Congressional District of the Province of Benguet.
: The second engineering district comprises the municipalities of Buguias, Kibungan, Mankayan, Bakun, Kapangan, Tublay, and Atok.
: The site of the engineering district is located in Natubleng, Municipality of Buguias, Benguet Province.
: The Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways is authorized to transfer all records, property, equipment, supplies, and materials pertaining to the jurisdiction of the second engineering district from the first engineering district.
: The provisions of RA No. 9011 shall take effect upon its approval.
: The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
: Yes. Any provision of law to the contrary notwithstanding, the Act creates a second engineering district and overrides conflicting laws.
: RA No. 9011 was finally passed by the House of Representatives on March 1, 1999, and by the Senate on November 15, 2000.
: RA No. 9011 was approved and signed into law by then President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on February 27, 2001.
: The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is responsible for the creation and management of the new engineering district.
