Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's Executive Order No. 103 divides Region IV into CALABARZON and MIMAROPA, while transferring the Province of Aurora to Region III to enhance local governance and public service delivery.

Questions (EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 103)

Article X, Section 4 of the Constitution, which provides that the President shall exercise general supervision over local government units.

To further accelerate social and economic development and improve the delivery of public services in the provinces and cities comprising Region IV by improving governmental efficiency.

Region IV is divided into Region IV-A and Region IV-B.

CALABARZON.

Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, and Rizal.

Antipolo City, Batangas City, Calamba City, Cavite City, Lipa City, Lucena City, San Pablo City, Tagaytay City, Tanauan City, and Trece Martires City.

MIMAROPA.

Marinduque, Mindoro Occidental, Mindoro Oriental, Palawan, and Romblon.

Calapan City and Puerto Princesa City.

Aurora is transferred to and shall form part of Region III.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

All orders, rules, regulations, and issuances, or parts thereof, inconsistent with the Executive Order are repealed or modified accordingly.

Immediately upon approval.
