Board Resolution No. 00-411 dated December 29, 2000, and Resolution No. 08-315 dated June 26, 2008, of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority's Board of Directors, provide the basis and authorization necessary for the designation of the building as an Information Technology Center in adherence with RA 7916 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.
A Special Economic Zone is a portion of the Philippines declared by the government as a separate and distinct economic zone to encourage domestic and foreign investments, promote export-oriented manufacturing and services, and generate employment opportunities, under special regulations.
The land area is approximately Three Thousand Three Hundred Thirty-Three and 33/100 (3,333.33) square meters, more or less.
The boundaries are described using the consolidation-subdivision plan Pcs-00-009584 and original survey markers with bearings based on surveys conducted from April 1920 to February 1921 and later surveys on July 16, 2000.
The designation subjects the building to the benefits, incentives, and regulations applicable to Information Technology Centers under RA 7916 and its amendments, facilitating the promotion of IT-related economic activities in the designated area.
The proclamation was executed by the President Gloria M. Arroyo and certified by Executive Secretary Eduardo R. Ermita.
