Republic Act No. 4869 is an Act creating the Municipality of President Roxas in the Province of Cotabato, Philippines.
The barrios and sitios of Butsi, Kabunuangan, Salat, Arakan (part), Kisupaan, Sarayan, Naje, Datu Selio, Basak, Roxas, Labo-o, Idauman, Camarahan, Tuael, Magsaysay, New Cebu, Del Carmen, Kamasi, Kisupa-an, Kiyab, Lohong, New Camiguin, and Lebpas in the Municipality of Kidapawan were separated to form the Municipality of President Roxas.
The Municipality of President Roxas is located in the Province of Cotabato.
The seat of government shall be in the present Barrio Roxas.
The boundaries start from a point where the Kinamalig Creek intersects Paco (Km. 118) - Inac Road; then west following Kinamalig Creek to the original boundary of Matalam and Kidapawan; northward following said boundary to the intersection of Kabacan and Magpet Rivers; following the old boundary through Arakan and Pulangi Rivers to the intersection of Pulangi and Mulita Rivers; following Mulita River upstream to where it intersects the Bukidnon-Cotabato boundary; east following the Cotabato-Bukidnon boundary to the peak of Mt. Tianlad; southward following the original boundary of Magpet and Kidapawan to where Paco-Inac road and Marbel River intersect; and following the road southward to the Kinamalig creek, back to the starting point.
The first mayor, vice-mayor, and councilors shall be elected in the next general elections for local officials in 1967 and must be qualified.
The first elected municipal officials shall include the mayor, vice-mayor, and councilors.
The Act took effect upon its approval, which was on May 8, 1967.
It was separated from the Municipality of Kidapawan.
RA 4869 specifies only the creation of the new municipality composed of the existing barrios and sitios; it does not create new barangays.
