Republic Act No. 6491 is an Act creating the Municipality of Piagapo in the Province of Lanao del Sur.
The barrios of Radapan-Poblacion, Radapan, Katumbacan, Olango, Losod, Pantar, Pualas, Torayas, Basak, Dagundal, Linabo, Putadun, and several others from the Municipality of Saguiaran were separated to form the Municipality of Piagapo.
The Municipality of Piagapo is located in the Province of Lanao del Sur.
The seat of government of the Municipality of Piagapo shall be at the present site of Barrio Radapan-Poblacion.
This Act took effect as of June 9, 1961.
The incumbent officials shall continue to hold office until their successors have been elected in the next local elections and have qualified.
The Act was enacted without the Executive approval on June 17, 1972.
The Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines enacted Republic Act No. 6491.
These barrios were separated from the Municipality of Saguiaran to be constituted into the independent Municipality of Piagapo.
