The Municipality of Lapinig is bounded on the north, northwest, and west by a line running southwesterly from a point on the shoreline between the mouth of the Gamay River and the barrio of Cagamotan; on the southwest by a line to Catumsan River; on the southeast by the course of the Catumsan River downstream to Helm Harbor; and on the northeast by municipal water limits as defined by the Revised Administrative Code.

The Municipality of Lapinig includes the barrios of Cagamotan, Potong, Pio del Pilar, Canomanio, Look, Lapinig, Can Maria, and Catumsan, and the sitios of Cahagwayan, Palanas, and Mabini.

The seat of government of the Municipality of Lapinig is located in the Barrio of Lapinig.

The municipalities of Gamay and Oras and the Municipal District of Jipapad will lose the portions of their territories that are included within the newly created Municipality of Lapinig.

The first mayor, vice-mayor, and councilors of the Municipality of Lapinig are appointed by the President of the Philippines.

They hold office until their successors are elected in the next regular election for provincial and municipal officials and have qualified.

The act takes effect upon its approval.
