It is pursuant to Section 68 of the Revised Administrative Code.
Diplahan is created in the Province of Zamboanga del Sur.
From the municipalities of Malangas, Buug, and Siay.
It shall be at the barrio of Diplahan.
Diplahan: Diplahan, Lubing, Lindang, Goling, Mijo, Lombong, Sta. Fe, Sta. Cruz, Del Monte, Danlugan, Tono, Baluran.
Galet, Balangao, Ganlan, Sampole.
Gintulan, San Jose, Parok, Minsulao, Lu-up, Paradise, Sampole, Lower Boyogan, Upper Boyogan.
Their present territories shall be minus the portions included in the territory of Diplahan as delimited by the executive order.
Upon the appointment and qualification of the Mayor, Vice-Mayor, and a majority of the councilors.
Boundaries are defined by geographic coordinates/lines (longitude) and by reference to municipal boundaries, using starting point, directions, and distances based on a map submitted by the Office of the Highway District Engineer.
At point 1, the intersection of longitude 123°00' and the center line of the Diplahan–Malangas national road.
The boundary description is “from the map of the proposed municipality of Diplahan prepared and submitted by the Office of the Highway District Engineer.”
One segment follows the municipal boundary of Alicia and Malangas until it reaches point 3, indicating that Diplahan’s boundary aligns with existing municipal boundaries in that portion.
It indicates the boundary is closed by returning to the original starting point using the same meridian (longitude 123°00').
It was signed by President Diosdado Macapagal and by Acting Executive Secretary Salvador L. Mariáo (as indicated “By the President”).
