Executive Order No. 622 is an order creating the Municipality of Pigkawayan in the Province of Cotabato.
The Municipality of Pigkawayan consists of the barrios of Pigkawayan (the seat of government), Libungan Torreta, and Manuangan, and the sitios of Pangangcalan, Matilac, Balicayan, Baguer, Tugar, Malagakit, Banacaguin, Upper Panatan, Maloan, Midpapan, Upper Buluan, Patot, Dinginin, Bolocauon, Capayoran, Balogo, Tibawan, Olamian, Kimmaroyag, and Upper Baguer, all formerly part of the Municipality of Midsayap.
The Municipality of Midsayap shall retain its present territory minus the barrios and sitios enumerated above which are included in the Municipality of Pigkawayan.
The Municipality of Pigkawayan begins to exist upon the appointment and qualification of the mayor, vice-mayor, and a majority of the councilors, and upon certification by the Secretary of Finance or the Provincial Treasurer of Cotabato that the municipality is financially capable of complying with the Minimum Wage Law and fulfilling statutory obligations and essential services.
The Secretary of Finance or the Provincial Treasurer of Cotabato must certify the financial capability of the Municipality of Pigkawayan.
The municipality must be capable of implementing the Minimum Wage Law and providing all statutory obligations and ordinary essential services of a regular municipality.
The creation was pursuant to Section 68 of the Revised Administrative Code.
The sitios named are to be known as barrios hereafter, indicating an upgrade in administrative status within the new municipality.
The appointment and qualification of municipal officials and financial certification by relevant authorities finalize the creation.
