Executive Order No. 118, dated October 01, 1964, created the municipality of Kalilangan in the province of Bukidnon.
The municipality of Kalilangan was created pursuant to the provisions of section 68 of the Revised Administrative Code.
The municipality of Kalilangan consists of the barrios of Lampanosan, Madatol, Macaopao, Sabang, Kalilangan, Boribod, Pamutohan, Kabaning, Malinao, Imbariz, Kibaritan, and Mayohay, all formerly part of the municipality of Pangantucan.
The seat of government of the municipality of Kalilangan is located at the barrio of Kalilangan.
The municipality of Pangantucan shall retain its present territory minus the portions included in the new municipality of Kalilangan.
The municipality of Kalilangan shall begin to exist upon the appointment and qualification of its Mayor, Vice-Mayor, and a majority of the councilors and upon certification by the Secretary of Finance that the new municipality is financially capable of meeting its statutory obligations and providing essential services, and that the mother municipality of Pangantucan can still maintain its government and obligations after the segregation.
The Secretary of Finance must certify that the municipality of Kalilangan is financially capable of providing for its statutory obligations and essential services, as well as the capability of the mother municipality Pangantucan to continue operating.
The creation of the municipality of Kalilangan was approved by the House of Representatives through House Bill No. 9011.
Executive Order No. 118 was signed on October 1, 1964.
Diosdado Macapagal was the President of the Philippines when the municipality of Kalilangan was created.
