Executive Order No. 107 establishes the municipality of Andong in Lanao del Sur, comprising various barrios from the municipalities of Lumbatan, Butig, and Tubaran, contingent upon the appointment of local officials and financial viability.

Executive Order No. 107 creates the Municipality of Andong in the Province of Lanao del Sur.

The Municipality of Andong is created pursuant to the provisions of Section 68 of the Revised Administrative Code.

The barrios included are Macadar, Lalapung, Dilausan, Tringun, Bita Occidental, Bita Oriental, Dulangan, Malalia, Lunai, Dinganun, Dalama, Matling, Kalumbong, Bumbaran, Bonga, Tacob, and Magolalung.

The barrios forming Andong are taken from the municipalities of Lumbatan, Butig, and Tubaran in Lanao del Sur.

The seat of government is at the barrio of Macadar.

Their present territories shall be reduced by the portions that are included in the territory of the Municipality of Andong.

The creation was proposed in House Bill No. 3474 and was approved by the House of Representatives.

The Municipality begins to exist upon the appointment and qualification of the Mayor, Vice-Mayor, and a majority of the councilors, and upon certification by the Secretary of Finance of its financial capability.

The Secretary of Finance must certify that the municipality can provide for all statutory obligations and essential services and that the mother municipalities can still maintain their governments and obligations after segregation.

President Diosdado Macapagal signed the Executive Order, with Juan S. Cancio as Acting Assistant Executive Secretary.
